The CEPM program is a multi-phase, multi-year initiative to create an industry process and related technology tools for capturing railcar equipment component data. The first phase of this program, CEPM-Wheelsets, focuses on wheelsets and will enable users to register wheelset components using Railinc’s Umler™ component registry, and report the application of wheelset components via the Umler system, Car Repair Billing (CRB) and Equipment Health Management System (EHMS). CEPM-Wheelsets is on-track and on-schedule for implementation in January, 2012.
