Traffic Club of Chicago Executive Series March Luncheon: “Logistics Trends and Insights” with Michael McClelland of UTi

CHICAGO, IL—March 4, 2013 (James Street Media Services)—The Traffic Club of Chicago’s next Executive Series Luncheon on March 21 will feature Michael McClelland, senior vice president distribution, Americas, at UTi Worldwide.

McClelland’s presentation is titled “Logistics Trends and Insights: Technology, Markets and Carrier Relations.” He will also participate in a question-and-answer session, as time permits.

“Our 2013 Executive Series program provides Traffic Club members and guests with rare access to logistics industry leaders,” said James Giblin, chairman of the Education Committee. “We are honored that Mike has agreed to share with us his knowledge and high-level views on issues that are important to everyone in the world of freight transportation, which is a major economic driver of the Chicago economy.”

McClelland joined the UTi team in 2005 with the acquisition of Concentrek, and in 2011 was promoted to his current position. He is responsible for distribution services (Sammons Trucking & Market Transport), distribution solutions, and distribution management. Prior to this role, he served as UTi’s president of North American transportation management. McClelland has more than 27 years in the industry with experience in operations, industrial engineering, sales, dedicated fleet, and IT.
