Kenco Increases IRONMAN Sponsorship for 2015
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.—May 7, 2015 (James Street Media Services)—Following the success of Kenco’s sponsorship of the 2014 Little Debbie IRONMAN® Chattanooga triathlon, the company is increasing its involvement with IRONMAN in 2015.
“Sponsoring the 2014 Little Debbie IRONMAN Chattanooga triathlon was a great way for Kenco to support our community,” said Senior Vice President Sean Coakley, “but it was also a tremendous inspiration for our employees to invest in their own health and wellness.”
In 2015, Kenco will sponsor both the Sunbelt Bakery IRONMAN® 70.3® Chattanooga triathlon in May and the Little Debbie IRONMAN Chattanooga triathlon in the fall. The company—a leading provider of integrated logistics solutions, real estate services, and material handling equipment—will also provide logistic services for both events.
This year’s Sunbelt Bakery IRONMAN 70.3 Chattanooga triathlon will be held May 17, 2015. The 2015 Little Debbie IRONMAN Chattanooga triathlon will be held September 27, 2015. It consists of a 2.4-mile swim starting on the Tennessee River near the Kenco headquarters, a 112-mile bike ride from downtown Chattanooga to North Georgia and back, and culminates in a 26.2-mile run around the scenic city. Last year, more than 2,300 athletes participated in the triathlon.
Many Kenco employee-athletes—motivated by the success of co-workers who completed last fall’s race—are registered and training for this year’s upcoming events.
